It’s a Sign!

A truck ran over our company’s sign. Apparently, a semi-tractor-trailer driver had trouble maneuvering into the adjacent building’s parking area. So, now, one of the huge brick columns supporting the sign is doing the way-back.

I’d like to think this is some kind of Divine Retribution for the ugly business cards that every employee in our company was given last week.*

* There was apparently a directive that every employee’s card would look exactly the same, with only the name, title, and direct-dial number changing. Fine. The problem is that, as a user-friendly contact-information tool, it’s a complete and total failure. Or, to take it a step further, it’s a complete and total FUCKING failure. It’s a cluttered mess, with everything shoved down into the lower right corner. And the primary information (phone numbers) are denoted with one-letter identifiers . . . that mean nothing. So, there are three undifferentiated phone numbers. “Hey, Guy I Want to do Business With . . . PICK ONE!”
